YOUR MARKET UPDATE | AT-A-GLANCE Housing Market Strong Despite Tight Inventory


  • Though cash buyers and investors seemed to hold off a bit last month, homebuyer demand is holding strong. In fact, 47% of all homes sold this past June were on the market for less than a month according, to the National Association of Realtors.
  • California’s median home price for new, resale homes and condos posted $352,000 for June, making this the 16th consecutive month where the sales price rose year-over-year. In the same month, the six county Southland boasted a median home price of $385,000, up 28.3% says DataQuick. 
  • This marks the highest year-over-year increase in the past five years.

• Newport Beach, the affluent city in Orange County - 92660, up 37.3% to $1,440,000
